E-Waste Recycling Policy
E-Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2011 were notified in 2011 and came into effect from 1st May, 2012. Surbhi Satcom Private Limited is one of the producers who has implemented E-Waste Rules and manages all aspects in accordance with the prescribed regulations. The company continuously upgrades its processes to ensure environmental protection through authorized channel partners for handling and management of electronic and electrical waste, ensuring that no e-waste ends up in landfills.
Further, as per the updated guidelines, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, in supersession of the E-Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2011, notified the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2016 vide G.S.R. 338(E) dated 23.03.2016, which came into effect from 1st October 2017. These rules apply to every producer, its channel partners, consumers, bulk consumers, collection centres, dismantlers, and recyclers involved in manufacturing, sale, purchase, and processing of electrical and electronic equipment listed under Schedule I.
The categories of electrical and electronic equipment of Surbhi Satcom Private Limited covered under Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) include telecom equipment, networking devices, communication systems, and their spare parts. A target-based approach for EPR implementation has been adopted as per the E-Waste (Management) Rules, which specifies phased collection targets based on the lifecycle and sales of the products.
E-Waste Collection
Surbhi Satcom Private Limited has partnered with an authorized Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) for the collection and environmentally sound recycling of e-waste, in compliance with the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2016 and its amendments. The PRO is responsible for collection, transportation, awareness creation, and channelizing e-waste to authorized dismantlers and recyclers.
The PRO collects e-waste across PAN India and ensures that it is recycled only through authorized facilities in an environmentally responsible manner. Customers can contact the company or the PRO for disposal or recycling of end-of-life products.

The collection centres meant for collection of material from end user and channelizing the same through our e-waste management partner Horizon Recycling Pvt. Ltd. Recycler. Further M/S Horizon Recycling Pvt. Ltd. has joint venture / agreement with OM LOGISTICS LTD. to collect and store the material to channelize the e-Waste (collected material) to the M/S Horizon Recycling Pvt. Ltd.
Collection Points
Surbhi Satcom Private Limited has engaged an authorized PRO that utilizes its own collection centres and points for collecting e-waste generated from channel partners and end consumers. The PRO is responsible for collecting e-waste and ensuring that it is transported to authorized recyclers within 180 days from the date of collection. The list of collection centres is available on the PRO’s website.
